This group of Mennonites use tractors with metal wheels. Mr. Friesen told us that there are other communities which use only horses to pull farm equipment. The farm provides most of food for the family.

The tractor must have metal wheels. The were grinding sorghum for cattle feed when we arrived.

These are calves. The Friesen family milk about 20 cows a day by hand.

This is the outdoor bathroom. Sorry, I can't resist: "It's built like a brich shit house." It's an expression we used to use as kids. This outhouse really is made of bricks.
