The longest bus ride of the trip – 12 hours – to Fin del Mundo, Ushuaia, included a 20 minute ferry ride where we saw some porpoises (I think, rather than dolphins). The bus made a few stops along the way, including Chilean border town San Sebastian where I managed to spend all of my Chilean pesos. The border crossing took much less time than when we crossed over from Argentina and we didn’t need to get our bags x-rayed. It rained most of the day, all the way to Ushuaia, but there were some spectacular rainbows.

Our B&B in Ushuaia (Las Retamas) run by Monica was probably the best place we stayed at during the trip. It’s about 15-minute walk to the main street but highly recommended! As we were in a seaside city, I had seafood - Fuegian Trout for dinner. It tasted more fishy than the trout I am used to.
