A 4 hour bus journey from BA and we arrive in the little city of Rosario, the place where Che Guevara was born! We arrive in our little hostel with a reggae bar attached to it and head out to find somewhere to eat! We find a nice little pizza place and end up making a sharp exit once we´ve paid the bill! The thing is when we got a taxi back to our hostel in BA on our last night, the driver cunningly swapped our 50 peso note with a fake one and try as we might we just couldn´t get rid of it! So our only option was to leave it as payment in a restaurant and make a hasty retreat - so thats just what we did!!
Next day we spend the map and go site seeing round Rosario! Take in just about everything, from the modern art museum to the beautiful cathedral and go strolling along the river. Perhaps most disappointing was Che Guevara´s house! Its shown on the map but when we get to the place there are no signs or anything to indicate that he was actually born here!! Its just a normal apartment like any other which is now a shop with someone living above it! Obviously they´re not that bothered about him!!
Back at the hostel all 10 inmates head to the reggae bar for the all you can eat and drink buffet, only it turns out that its not infact all you can eat and drink! They run out of meat and allow us only one bottle of wine between two! Talk about false advertising! So with a look of disgust we retreat to bed!!!
In the morning we check out and head to the bus station to buy our coach tickets to Iguazu that night. After getting a bus in the wrong direction and ending up in the ghetto we make it back to the hostel to retrieve our bags and then we´re on the move once again!!
