Buonasera,

Just a quick update as will be out of range for the next few days.......

Spent the day in Salta, so very different from anything else that I have come across so far.......very sophisticated cafe society......beautiful city and wonderfull people.....many of whom speak Italian!!!!

I have hired a corsa and am off for two days to explore the villages and valleys to the south of Salta......excellent wine producing region.

Hey Fats, Enjoy Salta and environs - you certainly seem to be very upbeat about Argentina. You have mentioned the girls and the wines - what about the steaks ???? God, you'd never be a travel correspondent... See if you can buy some good red wine and have it shipped over. All is well here, ma is enjoying having Lara and Mark around. Take care.

i love the car!!! hey did you know that the accent of the inhabitants of Buenos Aires (known as porteños) is closer to the Neapolitan dialect of Italian than any other spoken language? im not sure about belmontaise though??!! great to see you are having a fab time, i wonder if you have tried aguardiente or firewater yet? x
