Salta, male i przeurocze miasteczko, polozone jest na wysokosci 1200m. Uliczki sa male, domki zadbane, mozna znalesc sporo historycznych budynkow, jest kilka kosciolow, muzeum. Jest tu co robic, ale turysci przyjezdzaja tu glownie, zeby obejrzec okolice. Salta, zwana Salta la Linda (ladna Salta) znajduje sie w prowincji uwazanej za najpiekniejsza w Argentynie. Po tym, co widzialam do tej pory nie moge sie z tym nie zgodzic.
Niestety mam problemy z obiektywem. W tej chwili jest w serwisie i licze, ze uda sie go naprawic. W miedzy czasie usiluje zdobyc zdjecia od Michaela, Belga z kt podrozowalam kilka dni i postaram sie wrzucic cos wiecej.

Kosciol Sw Franciszka udalo sie odwiedzic z przewodnikiem i obejrzec ciekawe zakamarki. Jest niesamowicie bogato i z przepychem urzadzony. Ciekawe, co Sw Franciszek by na to powiedzial.

W Salcie jest tez bardzo cinteresujace muzeum Museo de Arqueologia de Alta czyli Muzeum Archeologii Wysokogorskiej. Jest w posiadaniu przedmiotow uzywanych przez Inkow, ozdob, figurek, naczyn i mumii inkaskich dzieci, ktore zostaly zlozone w ofierze. Gory dla Inkow byly swiete, wierzyli, ze ich ochraniaja, dlatego sporo przedmiotow zanosili tam w ofierze. Dzieci, wybierane na ofiare musialy byc piekne i fizycznie perfekcyjne. Zazwyczaj byly to dzieci przywodcow plemmiennych. Wedlug wierzen Inkow poswiecone dzieci nie umieraly, ale jednoczyly sie z przodkami i razem z nimi patrzyly z gor na wioske i opiekowaly sie plemieniem.

Mumie sa zachowany w doskonalym stanie. Nawet nad gorna warga jednej z dziewczynek mozna dostrzec slady lisci koki.


Salta is a small and really lovely town in the mountains (at 1200m). The streets are tiny, houses well maintained, there are lots of historical buildings, churches and museums. Salta is called Salta la linda, which means Salta the pretty. Province of Salta is considered as the most beautiful in Argentina and after what I saw so far I totally agree with it.
Unfortunatly I had problems with lense of my camera. It is in the service now. I couldn´t take much pics but I´m trying to get some from Michael, Belgian guy with who I travelled for few days. Then I will post some more.

I visited the church of San Fransisco together with a guide. It has many really ugly figures of Virgin Mary and Jesus. The other things were beautiful and the church is very rich.I wonder what would be the opinion of San Fransisco about that.
There is also one very interesting museum called Archeological Museum of the High Mountains. I saw there many stuff used by Incas in everyday life and which accompanied sacrified children in their graves in mountains. Mountains where sacre for Incas. They believed that they protect them. Sacrified children were choosen because of there exceptional beauty and phisical perfection. They were usually children of the rulers. Incas believed that they don´t die but join there ancestors and watch the villige together with them from the peaks of the mountains.
Museum also has the mummies of the children. They are preserved incredibly well. There are even visible traces of the coca leafes above the lip of one of the girls.
