Having got back from Uruguay in the afternoon on Monday we went to the bus station to get our bus up to Iguazu Falls. The Brazilian bus company didn't exactly put on their most luxurious coach for us - it was pretty much like a National Express coach with a foot rest thrown in as well as some very appetising food. About an hour into the journey we had our appetising 'dinner service' which was 2 cold and greasy empanadas and a breaded filet of some kind and a can of 7-up which I didn't really even want to drink because i could already smell the toilet after only one hour of driving (later when forced to go, the sink in the toilet had dried vomit on it and lets just say the state of the room in general was enough to make you follow suit into the sink yourself!!) Most of our fellow passengers were Paraguaians going home (Foz do Iguacu our destination, is a 10 min bus journey from Paraguay). When we stopped off one of them also deciding to have a nose into Lara's rucksack to see if there was anything she might like to nick - luckily
Waking up on the bus!Waking up on the bus!Waking up on the bus!

There were a couple of nice moments...
Lara caught her at it and she moved away!

We got into Brazil at midday Tuesday and headed straight for Ciudade del Este in Paraguay (making 4 countries in 24 hours) as we had read that they have very cheap electronics and perfume (i think the smelly bus journey took its toll and we both bought a small bottle!!). I was tempted to get a digital camera to use for scenic places like the Pantanal (and Iguazu ideally) or for places when I wouldn't mind taking a bigger camera with me and felt safe doing so. Unfortunately as I was about to pay for one, they announced that they didnt take card so we had to abandon mission and head back to our hostel in Argentina, camera-less but sweet smelling!

Tuesday, we made a total of 4 border crossings and got a good collection of stamps for the passports! We settled into our hostel on the Argentinian side of the National Park ready to see the falls tomorrow.
