Most people say the Argentinian side of Iguazu Falls is so much better than the Brazilian side, and to see the Brazilian side first. This is true however, don't be mislead, the Brazilian side of the falls is still extremely impressive and a definate must do first.
On the exit of the Brazilian boarder, l had some minor federal issues to sort out before l was allowed back into Brazil to see Foz from Brazil. Unfortunately, l had lost my landing card which is required upon entering and exiting the country. This was not the smartest thing to do, the Federal Police officer was not impressed, the fine was $R165.00 to be allowed out of Brazil. In my average speaking Italian and 0 Portuguese, our taxi driver decided to help me by speaking to the officer. Now, l didn't understand much of the conversation but l was very prepared to pay the fine in order to be let out of Brazil and into Argentina. As it turns out, whilst the taxi man began driving us through the boarder he explained to me that l didn't have to pay the fine, l was just never allowed back into Brazil! Hhmmmm??? Small
issue when we had planned on going back into Brazil that same afternoon to visit the falls. As it turns out the federal officer and everyone involved turned a blind eye to everything and l simply walked back into Brazil as if l'd never been there before. Lesson learnt - don't loose any government documents (even when they don't tell you you need them).
The Argentinian side of the falls are a lot bigger. The sheer size of the falls are simply spectacular and stunning. Over 300 waterfalls makes up Foz de Iguazzu. It surrounds itself in healthy green wildlife and forest, walking through Foz you can see all kinds of creepy crawlies, butterflys, lizards, Racoons etc.. Jet boat rides are highly recommended, it takes you into part of the Devils Throat, we got absolutely saturated and it'a a lot of fun. l then realised that my white shorts wet were see through, so wear appropriate clothing!
