at the falls.
Arrive at Puerto Iguazu bright and early in the morning - 9am, catch a cab to the hostel and have to wait while our room is being cleaned up - good opportunity to use the toilets =) Finally room is ready, hurried shower and put on some fresh clothes and head back to bus stop - 5 mins away. Book and jump onto the bus heading for Iguazu National Park. So excited to be outdoors exploring again, a liitle anxious as feel that the "Iguazu falls" will not be that great compared to the "Victoria falls" (which we've been to over a dozen times having lived in Zimbabwe for 26 years and think it is simply spectacular).

After walking around Upper and Lower trail of the Falls we sit down for some lunch and decided that even though the Iguazu Falls are not are awe inspiring as the Victoria Falls, Iguazu Falls however, affords better views and walkways. We were glad we had come here - loved the lush greeness, the wonderful butterflies, birds, flowers and the dozens of coati's walking around. The falls were great, the water looked so white against the green moss growing all over the place,

there were so any tiers at some places, the sound was soothing and the water refreshing (when we got wet at times). This is truly paradise.

After lunch we caught the free train to Garganta del Diablo (Devil's throat). The “Paseo Garganta del Diablo” is a one kilometer long way to bring the visitor directly over the falls of the “Garganta del Diablo”. This walkway was amazing as it affored us splendid view of the Iguazu River. Arriving at Garganta del Diablo was something out of this world - it was spectacular, beautiful, deafening and far too many tourists (like us =)). We stood here a while, truly amazed and just wanting nothing more than to take in the beauty of the huge falls, the sheer volume of the water was astounding.

What is amazing is that there are also "full moon visits" to the falls, today is a full moon. The falls must look spectacular by night. But it was enough for us.

Finally caught the bus back to Puerto Iguazu and sat and dinner as a restaurant nearby. Then explored the town around us, some of the street vendors were setting up their stalls and

wares. Found a supermarket to by snacks for tomorrow and aclohol for tonight =)) Then it was a leisurely stroll back to the hostel.

The pictures really say it all - I was snapping away like crazy.
