Baby One
Ok so we left Buenos Aires happy with our time there and glad to be heading to another town. Now the thing is, when we left it was a quite pleasant 25 degrees and very bareable, 19 hrs north in Iguazu we step off the bus in Jeans and t-shirts to be greeted by a wall of heat that us 38 degrees and 70% humidity.

There was some light at the end of the tunnel however, as our bus slowly ambled over the hill coming out of the main Iguazu town, what should unfold infront of us but a massive hostel comlete with SWIMMING POOL!!!!! Needless to say the rest of the day was spent chilling out in the pool before a few drinks later that night.

Now, with a swimming pool (that didnt close until midnight) in very close proximity to the Bar and a group of 5 Irish Lads and some canadians a bout of building a ´Human Pyramid´was always on the menu. Things only really took a turn for the worse when we decided that some synchronised swimming from the island in the middle of the Pool would be fun. We eventually got kicked out of

Still only a Baby One
there at about 1am and went back to the bar.

Next morning, ourselves and the ´Plastic Paddys´we had met in BA headed off to the falls.

Once we arrived at the falls (About 15mins from the hostel) we got the mini train to our first stop, the departure point for the lower walk on the Argentine side of thr Falls.

Walking along the metal gang planks in the heat was Horrible, instantly we were soaked with sweat.......ewwwwww. Anyway, we are backpackers and everyone knows that backpackers are supposed to smell!. Thats my line and i am sticking to it!!

Anway after about 10 mins we come to a view point that over looks about 30 individual waterfalls, all ranging in size from trickles to thunderous falls the size of buildings .....unreal. We continued along the walk for about an ahour and eventually reached the bottom, sweaty and thirsty. So.....what better way to cool off than take a trip in a 5m semi inflatable boat with two 250 Bhp motors on the back. The first part was fairly tame the boat just hovering for pictures, not too much better than we had already seen. Then, the skipper

Half an hour in
tells us ´Vamos´(We go) and we have enough time to shelter the camera´s before he hammers around the corner and pelts into the biggest waterfall he could find, a welcome relief, we were only in ther for about 2 seconds before being pushed back out by the falls, savage adrenaline rush though.

Pumped we head back up the stairs to another couple of cool look out points.

It was not until later in the day though that we would see the Gargantia del Diablo (What a name). Its the single biggest waterfall in Iguazu and is about a 1.5k walk along the boardwalk. 500m away you are instantly soaked with spray water from the falls coming down like a misty rain. Still 500m away ypu can hear a massive roar coming from over the cliff. Once we get there, we are all silent, you just cant describe what you see in words, the place is hugely powerful and massively beautiful at the same time. By far the highlight of the trip so far.

Wrecked and a little bit sunburned we head back to the hostel for some more beers and some more synchronised swimming!

Getting there
day is Fran´s (Plastic Paddy) birthday and we start drinking at about 8 and keep going. 3 Bottles of wine and about 5 beers later we end up in a club in the town center getting more creative with those wine corks again.

We leave at about 7am and have enough time for about an hours sleep before we catch our 27 hr bus to Salta, stinking and still a little bit drunk. But that is a whole other blog.

Until next time, you keep it sexy San Diego.
