We left Cordoba at 5.00 am as it was a long drive to Buenos Aires and we wished to avoid the Sunday afternoon traffic entering the city. We stopped at around 9.00 am on the road at a Petrol Station for a toilet stop and breakfast. The shop sold really good coffee and two cups of coffee and two croissants later, we were again back on the bus and on our way. Steve, one of the group members with family here in Argentina, was dropped off in a small town named Casilda where he was meeting family and we then went on a little further to find a shady area of the main motorway for lunch. The weather was extremely hot - mid 30´s!! so there was a short lunch stop in a grassy area. However, the mozzies were biting here so we were all happy to get back on the bus and carry on going. We arrived in Buenos Aires via a twelve-lane highway - apparently the widest in the world as there were further dual carriageways alongside the main lanes!! Checked into a fairly central 3* hotel with air conditioning around 5.00 pm. We wandered into the centre for a walk around and to find dinner. Some of the group tried to arrange tickets for the football match at the Boca Stadium without success. The majority of the group went to a local bar to watch the match followed by dinner at 10.00 pm-ish. We decided that this wasn't for us and went out around 8.00 pm to a Grill restaurant and each had a chicken kebab, chips and salad (well before the time that Argentinians usually eat!!). Then back to the hotel to bed
