Dinner at a local Argentinian Parrilla I was told my blog sounded too professional. I decided not to use commas this time.
If you take one thing away from this entry - Argentina has great steak and amazing wine for $10 USD (each).
Our trip to Argentina has gone something like this......flew into Buenos Aires. Ate steak for lunch and slept at a strangers house. Woke up and waited for Tommy to arrive. Tommy got quarantined at the airport. They thought he had swine flu. He was detained until he stopped sweating. We got a call from the driver that Tommy was not at the airport. We worried that he missed his connecting flight. Tommy showed up in cab. Tommy bought cigarettes for $1.25 USD. He was thrilled. We went to a steak house at 10pm. We were early. The wood burning grill was still filled with meat at midnight. We went to a nearly sold out movie at 1am on a Sunday night. We realized Argentines (yes, that is the correct way to refer to the people of Argentina) operate on a late clock. We woke up and went to the best street fair I´ve ever been to. We ate steak and drank a

Bife de Chorizo (aka NY Strip) few more bottles of Malbec. We passed out. We took an 18hr bus ride to Iguazu Falls. Our seats turned into full beds (Super Cama). We hiked part of falls. Julie thought about pushing me over. We ate more steak and drank more Malbec. We took a boat into the falls. We got back on the bus.
We met up with Andrew in Buenos Aires and checked into a trendy Hotel. We got 60% off. The hotel was amazing. We had apartment sized rooms. We plowed through many more bottles of Malbec. We went to a professional Tango show. Guess what we ate for dinner?
We explored different neighborhoods in B.A. We ate steak in each of them.
Julie gave us a guys night out. Tommy tried to pick up latin girls. He doesn´t speak spanish. He spoke english with a spanish accent. He sounded like Al Pacino from Scarface after a stroke.
We went to the best Italian spot in the city. They recommended vineyards to visit in Mendoza. We all agreed that we love B.A. Tommy flew home. The three of us took a 14hr bus ride to Mendoza. Super Cama!
