Un Asado
The first of many cows in Cordoba... We are now sitting in Buenos Aires (5 kgs heavier than when I left NY 6 days ago) in 75 degrees on Christmas day. Last night we ate yet another asado on the roof terrace of the hostel with 20 other travellers - Swedes, Brazilians, English, Australians. It was like a war zone at midnight where firecrackers, fireworks and bangers were let off in the streets and off the top of buildings - the noise was incredible. Lanterns with a flame inside were also seen floating across the city sky until they self destructed.
BA has also changed alot - the water way by Puerto Madero is now redeveloped with restaurants and bars making the whole area very trendy. We must have walked 10 miles yesterday taking in most of the major sights before I banged my toe on some scaffolding and took the skin off the top....lovely...now just hoping it heals before the trek starts in Patagonia.
We couldn´t have asked for a better start to our trip. Be in touch again soon...
Happy Christmas all of you.
