Among Kanchanaburi's marvels, is the tiger temple, Wat pa Luangta Bua Yannasampanno forrest monastery, saiyok district. We caught a local bus 45 mins out of Kanchanaburi, and were dropped out on a dirt road, it was hot and we had a 3km walk up to the temple. Pip and Jess are from New Zealand and are embarking on their Big O.E.(OOOOOO!!!) Their trip Begins when they land in Singapore on the 29th of December 2006, they then will begin a 3 and 1/2 month trip over SE Asia-Singapore- malaysia-Brunei-Thailand-Cambodia. However their trip does not end as they arrive just in time for Spring in London on the 11th of April.
