This slow moving part of the river was inhabited by a number of ducks who were getting fatter and fatter from the food being tossed to them by tourists. No doubt they found the Schneeballen disgusting too. I doubt they could even bite into it with their beaks before it sank like a rock to the river bottom.

Today the new X1 would get a breather. So far we had put on almost 500 miles in three days. Nürnberg is the ideal walking city. As usual the day started off with a big breakfast.
