Monte Alban Pre-Columbian archeological site, Oaxaca
This site is an ancient centre of Zapotec and Mixtec culture. It was one of the most important cities in Mesoamerica for over 1000 years until its demise in the 8th century. It was also about the only cultural thing that we attempted in Oaxaca!

Oaxaca to San Cristobal de las Casas March 23rd 2018 We finally tore ourselves away from the gorgeous city of Oaxaca after three weeks of lazing around, eating loads of local dishes and getting some more work done on the truck's suspension. A little about us: Ken grew up in the U.S. (near Boston, MA), while Fi was born in the United Kingdom (Shropshire) and lived there until 2010. We met in 2005 in Peru: Fi had been backpacking through South America for about 9 months and Ken was on a surfing vacation that went wrong. To make a long story bearably short, we met on a hiking trail near Machu Picchu and things took off from there. Now 13 years later, and after 8 years of marriage, we still share the same love for travelling and adventure.
