Paramedics secure Gee for the descent to the waiting "ambulance".

A small truck with a stretcher served as an ambulance but was nevertheless most welcome as Gee was driven, often off road, to the hospital in Wadi Musa. The kindness of the medical personnel greatly made up for the lack of facilities in that city of 50,000.
