Ghamra and Rudolph

note the stick on the left side of the picture - my camel was younger than the other one and was supposed to follow it, but it was ornery and always wanted to stop to eat, go its own way, etc. ghamra gave me the stick, and a few blows to the camel's neck would put him in line. after a while i could just swing the stick through the air, and the swoosh was enough to get him going in the right direction. rudolph's camel had some atrocious gas.

The fourteen and a half hour train ride to Jaisalmer wasn't too bad, as I managed to more or less sleep for about nine of them. Unfortunately one of the windows in our bay couldn't be securely shut, and when I woke up everything was covered in a very fine sand.
