Jack Fruit ...

... I've only had jack fruit once before in Thailand - it wasn't very impressive. But this version was excellent, extremely fragrant and so delicious that it completely changed my thoughts on the fruit. I kept seeking it out for the rest of the trip, but with little success. The papaya was similar to the pineapple and watermelon - somewhat tasteless and unremarkable. We never did actually eat the calamansi, except when we used a squeeze of it to brighten up our food - it looks like a lime from the outside, but has the appearance of an orange on the inside.
