... Asakusa was another pleasant surprise today - though we had heard about its tasty foods, we still didn't expect the breadth of what we encountered. These fried items were a bit like tonkatsu, breaded and fried, but instead of a chicken or pork cutlet inside, it was a mixture of ground meat and vegetables. So crispy on the outside, yet when you took a bite, juice would ooze out and run down your chin - it was a bit like a tonkatsu/shepherd's pie hybrid.
