Way Better Than Last Nights ....

... Being in mussel country and at the famous Mussel Pot, we went for the mussel platter for two. The mussels were still a bit chewy, but had a better flavor, like that of the ocean. There were some excellent flavors and types - steamed with tonino chili and garlic, fried (too bad they were a touch soggy), tasty smoked ones, nicely acidic marinated ones that prevented us from suffering mussel overload, sweet thai chili sauce, a very savory pesto, and grilled with bacon and cheese. The steamed myself had the most amazing thick broth, that would've been excellent as a soup on its own.
