Assorted Local Seafood at St Clair ...

... Cured salmon, sauteed paua (abalone), mussel fritters, and fish. The crisp greens were no more than an afterthought, but the seafood was pretty top notch. The cured salmon might have been the best, with the mussel fritters second. The fish was a tad plain, and the chewy abalone somewhat lacking - it's one of the most overrated and overpriced seafoods available. Not too shabby a dish, especially when paired with a glass of St Clair's own sweet riesling.
