... perhaps they felt bad for banishing me to this little room, so they gave me a glass of warmed brandy, which had a hint of caramel flavour. Especially nice was how the warmed alcoholic vapours slithered up my nostrils and burned my nasal passages. Normally that wouldn't be a good thing, but I've been having terrible allergies, so it alleviated my runny nose!
