PIPE FISH

Very common small fish, they have beautiful tails and usually occur in pairs, dancing gracefully around each other. This makes it difficult to photograph them. Sometimes, when a divemaster points them out I just pass them by. Luckily, this time I just took a token two or three photos. When I looked at the photos after the dive, I saw that the male has a double row of eggs adhering to his tummy. Wow! (You can barely make out his head in the upper right hand corner.)

ALMOST PARADISE I could get used to being here, in an all-inclusive dive resort. The food is thoughtfully prepared and there is something new every meal. I love the fresh fruit and there are lots of treats…always one available between meals. Diving gives me a big appetite, and there is no place to buy fast foods. Quite a relief, really.
