The Old Front Door

This was the second front door. The first one, as I recall, did not have a glass panel. The large glass panel was a weakness, and the lock and bolt were inadequate. A thief once broke into the house through this rather flimsy door. The number 36 on the frosted glass is from the original 1955 house and was replaced when the new thief-proof front door was installed
