The Highest Mountain Range on the Planet

It is difficult to grasp, and this picture is not very clear, but if you look closely you will see that the bottom of the picture is the valley. Those white things way up there that look very much like clouds are in fact the Himalayan range. Does this convey any sense of the height we are talking about here? I think I said this once before - think American Rockies, but twice the height. Difficult to comprehend this immensity.
