Lake Simcoe and the Canal May 28th 2017 We had a restful night at Chief's Island on Lake Couchiching and woke up to thick fog. It soon lifted enough for us to leave but lingered as we crossed the lake.

We are newly retired and ready to cruise!
Our 32 foot Cape Island trawler, North Star, will be our summer cruiser in Canada and our 44 foot Marine Trader, Hemingway, is our warm climate cruiser, presently in Florida.
Our land home is a small cottage outside of Lewisporte, Newfoundland, Canada. We hope to join cruising regattas organized by the Lewisporte Yacht Club members as they explore the Bay of Exploits, some of the best northern cruising grounds.
