It's early and I'm listening to the 3 Tenors; John above, Rollo, a spanish guy to my left, and Toby, a young German above him. Hopefully, when you went to the plaza to meet John, you got to see some of those ancient, Romanesque churches there. I loved that town and lingered several days there! Best wishes on making it up to O'Cebreiro, one of the toughest climbs on the Camino--a horse sounds like a great idea, or at least a service to carry your bag. However, you'll be highly rewarded. O'Cebreiro is a tiny settlement from earlier ages. Buen Camino!
