Free Day In León, no kilometres

Well, many kilometres really, but not a step closer to Santiago . This morning I wandered into town alone as John was having a rare sleep in and it didn't seem fair to wake him. The gardens along the rio Bernesga are very peaceful early; ahhh, the serenity! Reminds me of Bonnie Doon. Brilliant day in Leon!
Great to take a day off to enjoy such a beautiful city--I was a slacker and took a week off to see those amazing buildings and museums. How wise to bus it out of town--it was an horrendous walk along the highway and through ugliness. Very impressed with your Spanish that you could understand the mass and chat with the priest! Buen camino!
