Journal Entry 8: Home for a Rest July 11th 2005 Well, I have finally returned back home to Choma and been here for almost a month. It feels like I sort of had to redo the process of settling back into the life here and reintegrating with the culture because the roots I grew in my first month weren’t strong enough to keep me grounded during my time away. I'm now done working in Southern Africa for Engineers Without Borders, after being there for 3.5 years....well, done for the short term at least. It was an amazing experience and one that has deeply shaped the person I am now and who I will be in the future. You can read my final update post to learn more about my final years. I'm sorry I didn't continue posting for my last 2.5 years, sometimes when you are in a place for a long period of time, things that at first seemed interesting just become the everyday and you stop thinking about how they still might be interesting to people back home.
