Doggone great!
You're so right--San Crisobal has it all, even a regal street dog! Loved your adventures in the gorge and the small towns, and your souvenirs of jewelry of your Mayan birthdays. That yummy huarache combrado was named after the shape of the handmade huaraches (sandals) that the rural people wear. I spent five weeks there one Christmas, but I'll definitely return and try out your restaurant suggestions. Have fun on your next stop--Hippytanango!

Re: Doggone great!
San Cristobal had many lovely street dogs, but this one was my favourite and lived on the street we frequented the most. We only had one bad meal in the entire time we were in San Cristobal, and we both really want to go back :)
