"with love...and few expectations..."
I love your attitude here! How wonderful that you've shown your kids so many amazing delights, but don't pressure them to follow you when older. A great example was Leslie studying on his own. They seem so happy and not at all spoiled--I've so enjoyed watching them grow. And what a perfect way to end your dawn to dusk, whirlwind holiday--a little relaxing in paradise before they hit the books. Happy New Year to you all, too!

Thanks for your kind words Tara
Once kids turn adults, I believe life is reflected as in any friendship. If you have things in common, passions you share....than you are more incline to spend time together living these passions. I have see so many example of parents/daughter or son sharing one passion....and spending their holidays together....not because of the family link, simply because they had a common goal. Not sure these two will travel like me, and for sure maybe not as much as me. When we hit a small island...I'm still a kid and want to tour it as soon as I can....they don't share that curiosity for the moment....I guess remaining connected is more important for the new generation, than getting lost! But I'm sure that through diving, skiing, etc....we will find common ground...and isn't diving exploring! And to the point of pressure or not....that will always be an open question! Smile!
