03 November 2015 We travelled 280k south east mainly on gravel roads of varying quality and as we moved inland the altitude and temperature both increased. The road passed across desert and then through the bare peaks of the Naukluft Mountains and crossed the gorges formed by the dry Kuiseb and Gaub rivers.
