Gdansk
Hi, arrived at Gdansk today after spending a night in Lithuania and a night at the Wolf's Lair open air museum in Poland. We are "wild camping" in a car park opposite the WW2 museum, overlooking the river and can see the big wheel and the bridge that opens up to let the bid boats through - watching them go by. 10 minute stroll to the o!d town. We have been in and had lunch at a riverside cafe and are going back tonight. Lots to see and do, weather is good, we like it. Will probably stay for 2 nights. Thanks for your info. Hope the mini cruise went well, guess you are now in Germany heading for Calais. All the best. Linda & Graham

Welcomed to Bristol
Roger and Wendy, It was delightful to meet you yesterday at the Underfall Yard. This chance encounter was exactly the reason I so much enjoy volunteering and I was intrigued by the description of the extent of your travels, as well as by Wendy’s extensive genealogical/medical researches. I’ve been browsing your blog and comparing notes with some of the (rather few) places which we too have visited. I am hugely impressed by the extent and variety of your travels and find them inspiring. Perhaps I should dust off my own plans for the long-postponed trip from northern Sweden to Istanbul. I trust that you managed to get back to the site in time for the deadline, and that your onward journey has taken you to somewhere interesting. In wishing you “bonne route” I wonder whether, perhaps, we might meet again in some corner of a foreign field (with due apologies to Rupert Brooke) Best wishes Richard Harrison

News from Cofton
Hi Roger and Wendy, Makes me feel jealous reading your news. The sunset looks spectacular. We are all fine. Eleanor's AS levels have finished so she's celebrating! Just wanted to let you know that tomorrow I'm taking the funeral of Pat Bird at St. Michael's. Recent years have been a real struggle so it is a mercy that the end had come. No doubt it will be a packed church. Other sad news is that Ruth Lennox's dad was killed last night - a cycling accident involving a lorry. Not yet sure of details but a big shock. Makes you realise we need to make the most of every day - just as you are doing! With our love. Rob

Correction
Thanks for pointing out error which I have now corrected. The entry was done late at night after several glasses of wine! Hope you enjoy your Murvi as much as we have. But don't damage it like I did.

Well Done
We are enjoying following your progress. Sorry to hear about the damage to the van but as long as you are O.K. - that's the important thing. Good luck for the rest of your trip.
