The ladies of Rivas, Nicaragua

These ladies work at the very pleasant hospedaje I stayed at in Rivas. Earlier in the day the TV repair man had been summoned. TV fixed the ladies relaxed in their rocking chairs to watch wiht great appreciation what looked like the Nicaraguan answer to the spice girls shaking their booties down.

Huehuetenango sounds like an Abba song. It is a town in western Guatemala. I arrive after three days of crawling up and down a rugged mountain range known as the Sierra de Los Cuchumaines.
