FIRT COVENANT CHURCH

at 420 E Pike, one of 3 churches I'm featuring that are located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. First Covenant Church was started by a small group of Swedish immigrants who found other like-minded Swedes & formed the Swedish Christian Mission in 1889. St James Cathedral: The need for a cathedral in Seattle arose in 1903 when the bishop of the then Diocese of Nesqually/Nisqually, moved the Episcopal see from Vancouver, Washington to Seattle.
