Golden Ears Bridge at Langley BC
The Golden Ears Bridge is a six-lane extradosed* bridge spanning the Fraser River & connecting Langley on the south side with Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge on the north side. (An extradosed bridge is a cross between a girder bridge and a cable-stayed bridge.) The bridge, which opened to traffic on June 16, 2009, replaced a ferry service several kilometers upstream. The new bridge will be run by a private consortium until June 2041. More info:
