The reason for the odd name ;o)
"The project was named through a community process and reflects the well-known lower Fraser Valley landmark, the Golden Ears peaks, which crown Mount Blanshard in Golden Ears Provincial Park. The successful submission to name the bridge was that of George Tabert, a local pastor."

Golden Ears Bridge at Langley BC
The Golden Ears Bridge is a six-lane extradosed* bridge spanning the Fraser River & connecting Langley on the south side with Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge on the north side. (An extradosed bridge is a cross between a girder bridge and a cable-stayed bridge.) The bridge, which opened to traffic on June 16, 2009, replaced a ferry service several kilometers upstream. The new bridge will be run by a private consortium until June 2041. More info:

at 2095 West 4th ave in Vancouver. Located in the heart of beautiful Kitsilano at 4th & Arbutus, Sofie’s Cosmic Café, which first opened in 1988, is a Vancouver institution with its unique decor & freshly prepared comfort food.

has original art works of national and international artists mixed with vintage toys, metal kids lunch boxes, pendants, & shelves of collectibles. Then there’s the patio wall mural by the award winning artist Eric Metcalfe.
