New Baby Celebrations

What better way to celebrate the New Year than to welcome a new baby into the world. New parents share their happiness with friends and family by presenting them with a bag of eggs. Traditionally,the eggs were coloured red if the baby was a boy. It seems nothing special is done if the baby is a girl. A disturbing reminder that the birth of a baby boy still seems to be more "prestigious" even in modern day China.
