Right here’s the spot in Ranthambhore National Park

HE SAID... We were leaving Jaipur and travelling south east to Ranthambhore. We woke with the call to prayer, organised our packs and jumped into a minibus at 8am for the three and a half hour journey. Scary photo!
OMG--so many people; not exactly my idea of a safari--no wonder the tiger slept through your visit. However, how utterly fantastic that you got see a young Bengal tiger and lots of other exotic beings in the wild--may they be well in their crowded, touristy future. How fantastic that you were pampered explorers in the Raj Palace Resort (what an inviting name!). The buffets sounded divine, the welcome amazing, and so considerate the warm blankets for the safari and the fire upon your return. Too bad they couldn't drown out the wild wedding though I'm duly impressed by your sleeping abilities--such good travelers!

Re: Scary photo!
Tara I was SO thrilled to see the tiger! I probably should have mentioned that even though there was a circus of jeeps and trucks at the tiger spotting, it was a very very large park and we only saw one or two other trucks for the rest of the safari. The hotel was excellent, and I highly recommend it; and we really didn't mind the wild wedding - it was quite fun to watch.
