Expat Antics

The Canadian High Commission sponsored the Rickshaw Relay, which was a benefit for the Acid Survivors Foundation. The Nordic Club sponsored the goat races, which benefited another great charity. The Australian Glitter Ball was another big charity event. We had a lot of silly events, but they were fun and it was always a relief to be able to donate to a vetted, legitimate charity. It helped me not feel so bad when little hands banged on my car windows, begging for money.
Goodbye Bangladesh

It’s taken a long time to write this; I left Bangladesh six months ago. I like to come away from every experience knowing what I learned, knowing what kind of impact it had on me.
