We had quite a peaceful trip until Kythira but there about 200 people accompanied by several priests rushed on board to grab the best seats. They appeared to have been on some sort of outing or perhaps pilgrimage and there was excited chatter on the crowd

Ferry to Crete

24 September 2014 The ferry ride to Crete was brilliant and contained as much organised chaos and vibrancy as we expected with negligible security at the ports. I’ll let the pictures tell the tale. We docked at Kissamos in Crete at 11.30pm and found Camping Mithhimna at about 12.30am. They were helpfully still open to let us in and we were in bed by one. ... read more
