Fun beer and sobering history
Great visit and I love your photos of the street art! The statue here is Käthe Kollwitz's sculpture, "Mother with her Dead Son" in the Neue Wache, a memorial to the victims of war and tyranny. Kollwitz is one of my favorite artists and often portrayed the suffering of working people and of war. How wonderful that your walking tour took you there!
