Ichthyosaur fossil shelter in the snow. The graphic on the concrete wall shows these marine reptiles in actual size. Nearly 40 of them perished on this spot 230 million years ago when this was the western edge of North America.

October 15, 2006. It has been raining since early this morning here in Moab, Utah. The weather appears to be making up for five years of drought in just two weeks. There are Flash Flood Warnings posted for Arches, Canyonlands, and the surrounding mountains.
