Rat on the Road

It started in November 2006, when we quit our jobs, rented out our house, sold our belongings and set off in search of adventure in South East Asia. Backpacking around SE Asia followed, along with working with elephants in Pattaya, a TEFL course in Thailand, teaching in Bangkok, Madrid, Bournemouth.... "Where next?" you might ask. Sitting here in the hostel laughing out loud--thanks for a good start to my day! And I've also learned that zebra crossings are what Brits call crosswalks, and that warthogs are the most prevalent animal in Africa--good show! Hope you find that elusive zebra rambling by before leaving the continent--best wishes!

Haha! I bet that joke makes no sense to Americans unless it's explained. Not in Africa anymore, but a zebra did cross the road during the trip. By that point, Kris had got bored of the joke!
