St. Nicholas Cathedral

The Cathedral of St. Nicholas and the Epiphany is regarded as a symbol of St. Petersburg's blessing as a city of naval glory. Hence its common name - the Naval Cathedral - which goes back to the era of Peter the Great when the Maritime Yard was located on the site with a wooden churchas as it spiritual centre.

Many have asked if I saw the famous Hermitage Museum, and the answer is no. Not that I had enough time in one weekend to see everything, but as I read more and hear from more of you, it sounds like there are a lot of things I need to go back and see.
