This is the actual tank used by Montgomery in North Africa for foward observation. The gun is a wooden dummy as the actual gun was removed to make room for communication gear.

September 4 – London - Tuesday I caught the tube from Hammersmith Station to the Lambert North tube stop and walked over to the Imperial War Museum. It was a very large museum and I spent several hours touring it.
