19th May 8.30am I am waiting for the ICE train which will take me to Göttingen. Quite cool here, overcast and everyone has a large suitcase and seems to be going somewhere. The coffee shops around the station sell huge doughy pretzels, which are covered in chunks of rock salt and are served plain and cold.
