That's 'Hello' in Chinese. We've also learned to say Dway bo shi which is excuse me/sorry and xie xie which means thankyou. Given that's the extent of our Chinese we've also become really good at pointing at stuff we want. We've been in Beijing for 3 days now and it's very different to Shanghai.
