Cleo and Owen

The animals at Haller Park are mostly rescue animals. Often times they require medical care as well as food and living space. Owen, the darker of the two hippos, was washed up in the tsunami of 2004 as a baby and was very lucky to have been brought safely to Haller Park where he now lives in peace. He became world famous because of his survival and the friendship he formed with an old tortoise at the park named Mzee. You can actually google his story.
