We would have been adequately pleased with the willow trees framing the white monolith. But we were bowled over by the vast courtyard hemmed in by temples and resident pigeons flying above us as the wind chimes the prayer wheels.

I would have thought I stepped into my own imagination. My own dream. This trip to Bhutan is so markedly off the usual, beaten paths. Not being melodramatic, but Bhutan is truly one fairyland.
